HIII. Bad Sophie here. So I challenged myself to make a different cocktail everyday for the next 30 days. The main reason I want to do this is because I think it sounds fun LOL, but also I have sooo many saved recipes and screenshots of drinks I’ve been wanting to try for a while now. I always give myself excuses for not trying out new recipes — “I don’t have the ingredients”, “I don’t feel like buying these ingredients” “I’m really just in the mood for a glass of wine, vodka soda, etc.”. All I’m saying is that this is the PERFECT time to switch things up and try something new. I know there are a million other things I could do instead, but cocktails are fun lol. If you want to join or have a recipe I should try, post a picture of your ~cocktail of the day~ and tag me in it! Or you can just DM me on Instagram. Anything works:) Can’t wait to see what you guys come up with HEH.

I started it off tonight with just an easy margarita made with basic ingredients: tequila, orange juice, lime, and agave nectar. For the rim I just mixed chili powder with kosher salt. AKA if you’re in the mood for a margarita but don’t have mix or want to try something different, this is a great one to make! I found the recipe at https://www.wellplated.com/skinny-margarita/ and attached it below 🙂 **Drink responsibly!

Ingredients:

 1 1/2 ounces silver tequila — about 3 tablespoons

3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice — about 1 large or 1 1/2 small limes

1 1/2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice — about 1/2 medium orange

1 teaspoon light agave nectar — add 2 if you prefer a sweeter margarita

 Ice

*To Rim The Glass:  Kosher salt, chili powder, lime

Instructions:

Rim the glass: Mix salt and chili powder (I kinda just eyeballed it). Pour a thin layer of mixture onto a small plate. Rub a lime wedge around the top edge of your glass to moisten it, then dip the glass into the salt so that it sticks, tapping all the way around. Fill the glass with ice and set aside.

Fill a small cocktail shaker with additional ice. Add the tequila, lime juice, orange juice, and agave. Tightly close and shake vigorously for at least 30 seconds (it’s longer than you think). Strain into the rimmed glass over the ice. Enjoy immediately.
