Little Red Sorbet

Tonight I made a tasty concoction. It was a Rosé Sorbet Float ;). In an effort to support local businesses, I used two ingredients that hit home. First, I used La Grassa‘s strawberry sorbet. It’s a coffee and gelato shop down the street from my family’s home and has been our go-to spot ever since it opened. We have a tradition to walk down every Saturday morning (when I’m home) for our favorite coffee drinks. I always get their oat-milk Matcha Latte, my parents love their coffee, and my brothers go for affogatoa. Everything there is DELISH, and we always have at least 3 pints of gelato and/or sorbet in our freezer lol. They’ve been able to stay open through the quarantine (carry-out only) THANK GOODNESS, and it’s one part of our old normal we are grateful to have.

Special ingredient #2 was High Five Spirits by Gypsy Vodka‘s Petoskey Stone Gin. Anyone who knows me knows that the Petoskey/Harbor Springs area in Michigan is my favorite spot on earth 🙂 While I’m not normally a gin drinker, the only gin drinks I’ve ever liked were at High Five’s bar in downtown Petoskey. During this quarantine, I think we’ll all missing our happy place & Michigan is my happy place so I used this gin because it is from my happy place lol what a sentence.

Other than that, I used Côte des Roses rosé because I’ve always loved the bottle and the design on the bottom. Also, it is tasty. Ha.

I found the recipe at https://sugarandcharm.com/rose-sorbet-and-gin-cocktail but attached the details below. It calls for raspberry sorbet, but I subbed with strawberry. Yum. Enjoy 🙂

Ingredients

2 small scoops of raspberry sorbet

1/2 cup rosé

1 teaspoon gin

Instructions

Serving in a small glass, pour the gin and rose over the sorbet, enjoy!
